Facts on Schools

Oakville's three school systems, Public, Catholic and Independent  offer a wide variety of programs. Oakville has the highest proportion of students in independent schools in the country.

Within these groups are some specialized programs. French and French immersion schools are available.

Oakville Trafalgar High School
Ranked #9 of 749 provincial secondary schools in 2014, #9 in five year ranking of 693 schools according to the Fraser Institute.

E.J. James Public School
Single track French Immersion school grades 1 through 8 in southeast Oakville. K-8

New Central Public School
Small with a strong focus on community engagement. K-6

Maple Grove Public School         
Long and rich history in southeast Oakville, established 1872. K-8

W.H. Morden Public School

14 classes of gifted students in grades 5-8. Focus is on literacy and numeracy development. K-8
